Peter's Evil Overlord List-

Well, since a teen pointed it out to me, I have had this list on every one of my library pages. Having taken a look at it, I realized that none of Rowling's characters could possibly succeed as evil overlords - not even Hermione, and certainly not Severus, Harry, Voldemort or Dumbledore. The url follows: pay close attention to items 34, 47, 52, and 58 (though I'm sure there are more that apply to the potterverse!)

The Evil Overlord List is wonderful. I recommended it to a friend, and we're still laughing about the therapeutic benefits of mad laughter.

Though even looking through Cellblock A and Cellblock B, I can't find anything as bad as Voldemort's "Now untie him, Wormtail, and give him back his wand," moment.

Aw, but this perfect evil overlord wouldn't be any fun.

oh, you are so right! Voldemort is actually useless as an evil overlord, isn't he? It's hard to understand why on earth the entire wizarding world is so scared of him, when he hasn't got the slightest bit of common sense.

But the list is funny, isn't it?

Evil Overlords, my minion, are not supposed to be fun. They are supposed to be effective. An ineffective Evil Overlord is a tiresome oxymoron, and a 'fun' one is worse. True Evil Overlords scorn fun. That is for the tuneless minstrels and talentless jesters they execute!
