Thanks! I love that quote, and had been thinking of using it, but, as you say, the essay's pretty long already (. But, definitely, Snape tries harder, and does more for the 'right side' than anyone else in these books. It's just astonishing to me that Rowling can't see that when *she wrote the character*.

You're the second person to suggest that I break the essay in two, also. Honestly, that's an intimidating thought, but I'll see what my sister thinks.
