even if the war means we dont have time to sit back and mourn, i still feel cheated that nothing happened after the end of the war. instead, the novel blithely avoids the whole repairing-the-damage-and-facing-the-implications thing by jumping what, 16 years?, into the future.
both cederic and dumbledore had proper mourning, AFTER the action was over. to say that mourning in DH is impossible because of the pace is bs.
there just isnt enough action-cosequence in DH! how a *childrens book* can make light of possible consequnces is just beyond me. its just one of the Gryffindor characteristics which piss me off so much. brave, but never bloody well facing up to (or sometimes even THINKING) about consequences or repercussions. JKR is just being... such a Gryffindor.
