Did you read Boston's autobiography (well, partial autobiography)? It goes into the restoration of the house (which is the house of the books. It was her house) I think it was called something like 'Memory in a House' But I read it so long ago that I may have it totally mixed up with something else.

The story also deals with some of her earlier life as well. She was a very young adult during WWI, and I think served in Europe as a volunteer nurse.
