Six sentence Sunday 3:

Here are six more from my middle-grade WIP:

Verity stared round the room, fascinated. It was full of sunlight and perfectly round. Somehow the healer, or one of her ancestors, had contrived to fit bookcases to the curving walls, and these were full of books of all sizes. Some of the shelves held bottles of herbs or metals or clear fluids, and there were more herbs hanging from the ceiling. There was a small, very clean table near the door, and a couple of chairs. Lady Ash herself sat at another table near the south window, with a book in front of her and an ink pot near her hand.

Very nice! I like the bookcases on the curving walls! :-)

You are soooo good. I wish I had the ability to paint a picture with words like you. The "full of sun light" totally painted the picture.

Thank you!

Thanks - I'm glad it's clear to you. I actually haven't spent a lot of time describing stuff in my two WIPs. Perhaps I should do more of it?

Alas!

I am behind on my reading! Lady Ash? A whole new character? One that I haven't met yet? How is this possible? Shall I ask another question? Really? Why not?!?

Seriously awesome, Mary -- I'm looking forward to reading the draft (hint, hint ;-D)

Signed, your loving sister ;-D

Of course you'll get to read it! Alas, too, I am slowing down, but I can hint that this character exists because of you. And a good thing, too! I'm slowing because there are a lot of threads I have to tie together, but it should be finished fairly soon, and then I can give you the whole draft. :) It does seem to be coming along pretty well, doesn't it (not to jinx myself!)
