Yes - it was a wonderful trip, really. One thing I didn't include was that we went to the Patrick Kavanagh centre in Iniskeen (sp?), county Monaghan, which was wonderful. A very interesting man! Dad loved his poetry. There was an event in honor of Seamus Heaney, too, in Belfast, but I didn't get to go to that because I was just too tired.

I did like that the statue wasn't actually of Lewis, but of a scene that wasn't really in any of the books. In a way, that makes it more of an invitation. You're expected to see yourself in the seeker, as well as seeing Lewis in him. And the quotes - which I didn't manage to photograph - were lovely, too.
