Six sentence Sunday-

This is a neat idea I got from Amanda McCrina: you post six sentences from your current WIP. Here are six recent ones from A Drive of Dragons. Enjoy!

The king bowed, one hand on Frank’s good arm and the other on Star’s withers, for balance. Then he paused a moment. “I’m sorry, I’ve forgotten your name.”
“Silver.”
“Silver,” the king repeated. “Your ladyship Silver, I would like to invite you to court so that we may draw up a treaty. Will you come with us?”

Very nice! I think maybe I'll do that too.

Thanks! Yes, it's a nice idea, I think, and I'd love to see what you're up to. Amanda's sentences have been very intriguing; you should visit her blog if you like historical fiction.

Hey! Those are six sentences I didn't know yet! :D

How is the story getting along?

It's getting along extraordinarily well, under the circumstances. I should have a completed draft by Easter, if not before (she says hopefully). You will, of course, get a copy of the draft! I've also taken your painting to the frame shop and should have that in another week. I did tell you, didn't I, that Mom loved the painting? She said it was beautiful.
