Thanks for reading! I'm so glad you like Harfoots as Fairies--and it's interesting to me that the humans we see are very likely proto-Dunlanders/Breelanders. If that's the case, then these two peoples who feared and avoided each other will eventually end up living as neighbors.
I also love your idea that what we see in current Harfoot society is the result of more than one disaster, one of which is quite recent. It makes sense.
And I really do think, given the thought and care we've seen in this first season, that the show won't disappoint us the way Rowling did. I don't expect it to reach the heights of Tolkien himself, but so far, I believe the creators have shown they really know the lore and are thinking hard about it.
