Good - I thought you would like me to change it, and I will. (Wish I could remember, though, who did say that about Snape trying to combat his sadism, because somebody did, and i would like to credit them!)
And I, too, think Claire is too soft on Snape. She's one of those people who writes him as a romantic figure, and I can't see that at all. But she is right that he is extrmemely emotional, and that he has a 'saving-people-thing' at least as obvious as Harry's. I was glad I was not the only one to have noticed it!
