Nice to think of Michael laughing! (And being alive, and happy, and having a wife and family. GRR!) Seriously, the relationships between the characters are beautifully drawn, and I enjoyed the description of the music-making too. I think you've said that you and your sister have a band - is this the kind of music you play?
