Now, if Wizarding Britain had a solid justice system, an educational system that paid attention to ethical development and other mechanisms that genrally promote a healthy society, but somehow was taken over for a while by an external threat then I'd believe that removing this threat would result in that 'all well' situation. But we know Voldemort was no external threat. He grew within Wizarding Britain, was educated at Hogwarts and promoted views that were based on long lasting conflicts that exist within that society. And both the people who joined him and those that opposed him behave in ways that are corrupt and immoral. What changes at the end of Deathly Hallows? Voldemort is gone but nothing changed at Hogwarts. Kingsley is made Minister, but why should that be comforting? We know he is a competent Auror, but so was Scrimgeour in his days. All we know of his views is his rather anemic call to protect one's Muggle neighbors on PotterWatch. If we don't see the people who brought Voldemort down question their own moral shortcomings why should I believe the society that recovered from Voldemort is any better than the one that bred him and his movement?
