Yes - just wanted to let you know it's that miserable book by Rodman Philbrick. Look at the SLJ review on amazon for a good review - this is about what I thought. A completely incoherent fantasy; worse yet, meant for kids, who need and want coherence in their fantasy. I read it because I had to, and never read anything else by Philbrick. Perhaps that's unfair of me. I hear "Freak the Mighty" is actually good.
