Of course, I had to take the quiz, too! (thanks for the link, Nemesister), but I could not for the life of me figure out how to get Erasmus to show up on this journal. So here is a link for anyone who wants to see if he's appropriate for me, or (I suppose) to take the test themselves. Erasmus, btw, is a cute little jackal. I was very pleased when I saw him, but that's because I thought he was either a fox or a coyote - I don't know much about jackals, but like the description.

Nice test. My daemon is a hare, apparently, like Lee Scoresby's Hester.

I hope it *stays* a hare! Mine has changed nine times, for no reason at all that I can see! (It's a ladybug now, of all things.)

Oh noes! Now it also changed into an ocelot! :D I didn't do anything! So there are other daemons out there but they are elusive creatures.

Well - it was a bird last time I looked, and now a ladybug. I am not happy! Wonder if I'll ever get my nice little jackal back. ( But I know you didn't do it.

I see you've now got the jackal back! I don't know how suitable that is for you, by my daemon started as a spider and is now a butterfly. And when I did the test earlier (but forgot to save it) the same answers (more or less) gave me a fox: so I have no great faith in this daemon business at all!

Oh, I agree - if you elect to have your friends look, I think it changes whether they respond or not. And I don't think the test is especially logical or accurate (I'm still wondering how I can manage to be proud and humble at the same time! Proud of some things; humble about others? I don't know!)

Anyway, I was happy with the jackal, and my twin with her fox, and we both seem to have gotten them back after several transformations. She was a spider for awhile, too - maybe you'll get the fox back!

I gather the silly things transform from time to time for a while and then settle down.

I went ahead and filled out the quiz, myself.

I wasn't terribly surprised to end up with a crow.

I about laughed myself silly when it turned out his name is Albus.

The white crow! Perfect! That's really funny (and very appropriate for you, as far as I can tell.))

Only it wasn't a white crow. It was just *named* Albus.

(Only person I ever knew who had a pet crow named it Edgar.)

Well, of course I knew it wasn't really white! I was joking! (Because the name "Albus" means white - I called my car Alba when I got her, because she is white.)

Well - after twelve days, Erasmus is a raven. I'm not displeased, actually, though the jackal was really cute.
