I liked it better than the first one - although I think Beorn could have been done properly, and Radagast continues to annoy me. And the division of the dwarves into Serious Dwarves and Comic Dwarves is getting more obvious - it really irritates me that one of them has an axe stuck in his head, of all things. I think what I probably like most is the scene-setting - they are very good at conveying the look of a civilization, whether it is the dwarf-halls, the elves' palace or Lake Town.
And I assume from the fact that Legolas does not mention her at all in LOTR, that Tauriel is not going to survive the next film.
