Apparently, she was quite the rebellious character in her young youth; we have to remember she's about 3,000 years old when we encounter her in Fellowship</>! (But I must confess, I never quite managed to read the Silmarillion in its entirety.) )
I've now come across Galadriel in the Silmarillion, and she is much more of a character there. The book is very interesting (I especially liked the first section, about the creation of the world), but I would have to agree with you about the style - it is definitely hard going!
Babylon 5 is one of my favourite sci-fi shows, so I'm interested to hear you got John Sheridan. He is the captain of the space station, and so very much in the heroic captain mould - but as the quote suggests, he is also quite wily, and not perhaps quite the straightforward soldier he at first appears.

Date: 2008-01-14 05:17 am (UTC)I think Delenn is someone from Bablyon 5. Otherwise, I know absolutely nothing about her. What attributes is she supposed to have?
Till later-

Which leads me to think -- I hope I was really truthful -- she seems a tad too good to represent me.
(After all, I am your evil twin!)
