"What fantasy character are you?" I came out as Galadriel. Yay! Galadriel rules.

Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?

I came out as Galadriel too. But she's always struck me as being too lofty and remote to be interesting, so I rather wish I had got someone else!

Apparently, she was quite the rebellious character in her young youth; we have to remember she's about 3,000 years old when we encounter her in Fellowship</>! (But I must confess, I never quite managed to read the Silmarillion in its entirety.) )

I'm about half-way through it now - I'll look out for her!

I've now come across Galadriel in the Silmarillion, and she is much more of a character there. The book is very interesting (I especially liked the first section, about the creation of the world), but I would have to agree with you about the style - it is definitely hard going!

Babylon 5 is one of my favourite sci-fi shows, so I'm interested to hear you got John Sheridan. He is the captain of the space station, and so very much in the heroic captain mould - but as the quote suggests, he is also quite wily, and not perhaps quite the straightforward soldier he at first appears.
